Stream Walk II
July 17th, 2007

The "FOE" group totally dominates in our second outing into the world of nature. Now, more knowledgeable in the collection of specimens and procedure, we managed to haul in two netfulls of different insects and crustaceans. Eager to discover what we had captured, Emily and Greg guide us in their identification.

After a few minutes of scoping for a reachable site, we finally settle on a shallow bank of the Guyandotte, across from the school baseball field.
The Guyandotte River: Yep, we waded this.
Yummm... sassafrass leaves.
A wading spot is finally found.
To upturn things to be swept into the nets, you've got to shake your groove thing.
Everyone helps catch stuff in the screen nets.
Christian gets her pants wet... she later realizes how sad that is.
Sifting through our finds.
Greg and Emily... over-seeing our awesome work.
A real look at what we caught.
Catches 1 and 2.
Identifying our finds.
Something was hatching!!
Christian and Alex enjoying their chaps... I mean waders!
And end of "FOE" wading experience numer two.
