*NEW ARRIVALS*
19.11.06 - Two mares rescued from Tauranga. Someone had taken them from 06 muster and done nothing with them and said they had to go!   The grey mare is VERY pregnant, the bay mare is very skinny and wormy. They are still wild. Please contact me if you are interested at all in them.
UPDATE - Sable (dark grey mare) foaled 4 days after arriving at my place. A gorgeous chestnut colt we have called Quinn. Both are doing very well.   Annie (Bay mare) is also piling on the weight and doing well.
SECOND UPDATE: Sable is now going well under saddle and in a new home. Will hopefully get some pics soon.
MEGARA (MEG) arrived at my place last week. She had been neglected and was grazing in a large paddock and had foundered so her owner handed her over. Meg was unable to walk and I'm not sure how long she had been like that. I put Meg on pain relief, put her in my large sand yards and put her onto a toxin remover, this along with massages 2x daily and small walks with boots on 2x daily has helped her improve no end. It will be a long recovery for Meg but I am confident we can get her right. Pic on left is when she arrived, obese and full of toxins, pic on right is one week later, a much better looking body shape. Please people do not let your Kaimanawas get too fat and make sure they have daily exercise. Kaimanawas are not used to being locked up in small areas and having access to rich pasture!!
UPDATE: Three months later, Meg is doing so well, her personality has really come out and she is a real character. She is now happily running around everywhere. Meg is expected to make a full recovery :)
04/08/06 - Two new unwanted, unhandled fillies have arrived by stock truck. I think they are about 3yrs old but time will tell. These fillies will be handled etc., and then be looking for new, loving homes so if you think you could offer one of them a suitable home in a few months time then please contact me.
